Vinton County man arrested on drug charges

MCARTHUR – Authorities arrested Paul A. Rose, 40, of McArthur Sunday on charges of possessing materials used to manufacture methamphetamine.

The arrest came after what was described as an extensive investigation by members of the Vinton County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force. According to a media release by Vinton County Sheriff Shawn Justice, Rose was arrested after a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Dollar General on Route 93.

Task force members Investigator Ryan Cain and Deputy Richard Hixson allegedly uncovered numerous materials used to manufacture methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Rose was transferred to the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville pending a Tuesday bond hearing in Vinton County Court. Charges of tampering with evidence will also be presented to the Vinton County Prosecutor’s Office.
