CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia’s Democratic Party Chairman Larry Puccio announced that Vice President Joe Biden has accepted Sen. Joe Manchin’s (D-W.Va.) invitation to deliver the keynote address and honor the vice president’s former Senate colleague of more than 20 years, Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-W.Va.), at the annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner Saturday, Oct. 12 at the Charleston Civic Center.

According to Puccio, the dinner is a celebration of Rockefeller’s 50 years of public service to the Mountain State.

"I can think of no better person to highlight the years of service Sen. Rockefeller has given to our state and country than Vice President Biden,” Larry Puccio said. “Joe Biden’s outstanding leadership is an inspiration to us all. For decades, Vice President Biden has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of middle class families all across the United States, just like Sen. Rockefeller.”
